Authorities are searching for a 45-year-old man accused of violent crimes who escaped from Western State Hospital in Lakewood.

Law enforcement is actively searching for Joshua Dylan Rice, who escaped from Western State Hospital around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, according to Clark County officials.

Rice was being held at the facility while facing multiple charges in Clark County Superior Court, including robbery, assault, and theft of a motor vehicle, according to authorities.
