Our mission is straightforward: highlight the people, places, and events that define Western Washington, and do so with accuracy, clarity, and—when the moment calls for it—a little heart.
Puget Press was founded in 2025 by Michael Mashburn, an Everett native and longtime broadcast/digital journalist. Michael has spent more than a decade reporting, including for ABC News Radio affiliate KTAR-FM in Phoenix, and covering New York’s Capital Region and Long Island for Daily Voice.
