Delivery Driver Shoots USPS Worker At Everett Apartments, Police Say (DEVELOPING)

A postal worker was shot at an Everett apartment complex, and a delivery driver is now in custody, police said.

Officers responded just before 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, to reports of a shooting at the West Mall Place Apartments, according to Everett Police, whose South Precinct is located right next door.

The victim, identified only as a US Postal Service employee, was taken to Providence Hospital with a gunshot wound. Their condition has not been released.

The suspected shooter, described as a package delivery driver, was taken into custody at the scene, according to police. Authorities emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. No additional details were immediately available.
