The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that a woman found dead in a Puyallup lake earlier this year died by suicide.
Ginger Meier, 60, died from drowning and her death was classified her death as a suicide, according to official records.
Meier’s body was discovered on Tuesday, Feb. 3, in Puyallup’s Bradley Lake Park. A resident first spotted something in the water and called police, prompting the response, Puyallup Police said.
Meier had been reported missing weeks earlier. She was last seen alive at her home on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Her family had expressed concern for her safety at the time she was reported missing, investigators said.
Officers later located Meier’s vehicle at Bradley Lake Park, the same area where her body was ultimately found.
