A man injured in a late-night shooting at a Lynnwood bar has died days later, and a suspect is now facing a murder charge, according to police.
Mecos O’Neal, 38, died Wednesday, April 15, after being shot days earlier at Just Left Pub and Grill on 198th Street SW, the Lynnwood Police Department said.
Officers were called to the bar around 10p.m. on Friday, April 10, for reports of a shooting. O’Neal was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
Joseph Raymond, 44, was later arrested in Marysville and booked into the Snohomish County Jail, according to police.
Following O’Neal’s death, Raymond remains in custody and is facing charges including second-degree murder and assault.
Family members described O’Neal as a devoted father and a deeply loved member of his community.
“Mecos was a kind and outgoing person who was a friend to everyone he met,” his family said in a statement shared by police. “Above all, he loved his family deeply, especially his children.”
Loved ones said O’Neal coached his children’s soccer team, supported the Seattle Sounders, and enjoyed cooking, video games, and sports.
“Mecos we will miss you on the soccer field,” Angel Tullar wrote in a social media tribute. “You always knew how to hype the kids.”
Detectives are asking anyone who was at the bar or nearby between 9:30 p.m. and 10:01 p.m. that night to contact Lynnwood Police.
