A video allegedly showing a group of young males shouting racial slurs at passing motorists near Forks has sparked outrage on social media.

Video posted by Maggie Bockart in the Forks (WA) Residents Facebook group shows a Ford F-150 stopped at a red light just outside town on Friday afternoon, Oct. 16.

Two people can be seen leaning their heads out of the truck’s windows and yelling toward passing vehicles.

Bockart said four white males were taking turns shouting the N-word at motorists.

She told Puget Press that her decision to share the video was intended to send a message about the community’s values, rather than stir up controversy.

She said the purpose of the post was “not to be inflammatory or divisive, but to show that this community is not interested in allowing hate to flourish here.”

The post quickly attracted dozens of comments, with many residents expressing disgust and disbelief.

“What year is it?” one asked.

“That’s terrible! They should be ashamed of themselves,” another wrote.

Others questioned whether the people involved were adults or teenagers.

The discussion extended beyond condemnation, with some residents calling for consequences and others questioning whether publicly identifying the individuals was appropriate.

“I think this is a very teachable moment for these young adults,” one resident wrote. “I do believe they knew/know better but repercussions are a good lesson too.”

Another resident suggested the group might have been involved in a separate “heated argument” with tourists near the Collection, though Puget Press was not able to independently verify that claim.

The identities and ages of those seen in the video have not been confirmed.
