A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Lynnwood after being lured out of his apartment.
Deputies and Lynnwood Police rushed to the 20900 block of 44th Avenue W around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, after reports of a stabbing, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators determined that the teen was coaxed outside, distracted, and then attacked by a known acquaintance. After the stabbing, the suspect ran into a nearby wooded area and threw away the knife, police said.
Deputies found the suspect minutes later at a business plaza close to the scene. An 18-year-old man was taken into custody, along with a 19-year-old woman who deputies say was also involved.
The victim was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault. The 19-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of first-degree domestic-violence assault. All parties were known to each other, according to the sheriff’s office.
