Missing Mukilteo Teen Found Dead, Police Confirm

A Mukilteo teenager who was previously reported missing has been found dead.

Gabriel Ehrmin, 15, was positively identified by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office after his body was found on Monday, Dec. 15 in Mukilteo, police revealed Thursday, Dec. 18.

Ehrmin had been listed as a missing juvenile by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office before the discovery.

Mukilteo police detectives are now conducting a death investigation. Authorities said the case remains active.

“For the family’s privacy, and due to the sensitive nature of this incident, no further information will be released at this time,” Mukilteo police said in a statement.

Officials did not provide details about the circumstances surrounding Ehrmin’s death.

The family posted the following statement on Facebook

“The Ehrmin/Pennington/Besson family would like to thank everyone for their help searching over this past week. It was great to see our community come together. Gabe has been identified and it’s the hardest outcome to learn of as a parent, sibling, family or friend. We ask for our privacy and time to grieve as we walk the most difficult path that we will travel, carrying with us the memories and our love of him forever.”
