A 19-year-old Tacoma woman who was shot and killed at a party early Sunday morning, March 29, has been identified.
Dorys Mahaylia Easley, of Tacoma, died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and her manner of death was ruled a homicide, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers were dispatched at about 12:35 a.m. to the 100 block of East 91st Street after a report of a shooting, Tacoma Police said. When they arrived, they found two women suffering from gunshot wounds.
Easley was pronounced dead at the scene. A second woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Investigators said the shooting happened during a large gathering at a home on East 91st Street, Tacoma Police spokesperson Shelbie Boyd said.
No arrests had been made as of Tuesday, March 31.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 911.
