A young pug with a quiet charm and a lot of love to give is looking for his perfect match.
Huck, a 2-year-old black pug currently in the care of Seattle-based Evergreen Pug Rescue, is ready for adoption after being neutered and is beginning the search for a forever home, according to the organization.
At first glance, Huck may come off as a little shy. But once he warms up, his affectionate personality quickly takes over.
Rescue staff describe him as a “deeply sweet” dog who forms strong bonds and thrives on companionship. He’s the kind of pup who doesn’t demand attention right away, but earns it — and keeps it.
Huck has already proven to be a good fit in several key areas. He has been tested around cats and did well, according to the rescue. He also enjoys being around children, though his playful, puppy-like energy may be better suited for homes with older kids.
When it comes to other dogs, Huck can be selective and may prefer certain companions over others, the rescue said.
Still, for the right household, Huck offers exactly what many families are looking for — a loyal, loving companion who just needs a little time to come out of his shell.
Those interested in adopting Huck can apply through Evergreen Pug Rescue.
