Fourteen years after Angela Gilbert vanished near the Mountain Loop Highway, Snohomish County detectives are once again asking the public for help in solving the case.

Gilbert, 41, was last seen in June 2011 on a trail near the Mountain Loop Highway and the Granite Falls Fish Ladder, sheriff’s officials said. Despite years of investigation, her disappearance remains unsolved.

On Friday, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit issued a renewed plea for information, encouraging anyone with knowledge about Gilbert’s case to step forward.

Tips can be shared by calling the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845 or by submitting information online. Callers may remain anonymous.

The Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Team, part of the Major Crimes Unit, currently investigates about 65 unsolved homicide and missing persons cases dating back to 1962. Civilian volunteers assist detectives in reviewing case files and evidence.

A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information that helps move a case forward. Anyone with information about other unsolved homicides or missing persons cases is asked to call 800-222-8477.
