A man arrested in Marysville with fentanyl, cocaine, and a loaded handgun — along with another repeat deportee with a criminal history in King County — has been sentenced to federal prison after illegally returning to the United States.
Alberto Figeroa-Luque, 45, a Mexican national, and Fredy Ottoniel Alonzo Carcamo, 54, a Guatemalan national, were each sentenced to six-month prison terms for illegally reentering the United States after prior deportations, the US Attorney’s Office in Seattle announced Wednesday, March 4.
Both men had initially been arrested on state-level charges before being transferred into federal custody because they were in the country without legal authorization, prosecutors said.
Judge Tana Lin noted during sentencing that each defendant had repeatedly returned to the United States despite previous removals.
“Those here illegally who are breaking our laws and making our communities unsafe remain a priority for our office,” First Assistant US Attorney Charles Neil Floyd said in a statement. “While many we arrest are removed before we secure convictions, here are two examples of criminal aliens arrested based on the administration’s priorities.”
According to prosecutors, Figeroa-Luque was first ordered deported to Mexico in 2012 and has since been removed from the United States four additional times.
Marysville Police arrested Figeroa-Luque after officers responded to a report of someone knowingly using a controlled substance in a public place, according to federal records. During the arrest, officers searched his backpack and found cocaine, fentanyl, and a semi-automatic handgun with a loaded magazine.
Figeroa-Luque was later transferred to federal custody under a judicial warrant and pleaded guilty in December 2025 to reentry of a removed alien.
Federal records show Alonzo Carcamo has prior convictions tied to voyeurism offenses in King County in February 2007. Authorities ordered him deported the followingJuly, though the removal did not occur at that time.
In February 2020, Alonzo Carcamo was convicted of first-degree voyeurism after being caught peering through a broken window blind at a woman and a young child around 4 a.m., prosecutors said.
He was deported to Guatemala in July 2021 but was later arrested in Arizona in September 2021 after unlawfully reentering the United States, according to federal records. He was removed again in February 2022.
In November 2025, authorities arrested Alonzo Carcamo in King County and charged him with failing to register as a sex offender. He was transferred to federal custody under a judicial warrant and pleaded guilty in December 2025 to reentry of a removed alien.
Both cases were investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
Federal officials said the six-month prison sentences are expected to be followed by deportation proceedings.
