White Tablecloths & Tomahawks: Crazy Harry’s Brings Big-City Steakhouse Energy To Sequim

The lights are low, the table is set in crisp white linen, and somewhere across the room, a steak the size of a small platter is being served to an eagerly awaiting diner.

That’s the scene at Crazy Harry’s Steakhouse, the upscale spot in downtown Sequim already drawing attention for bringing a more polished, big-city dining experience to the Olympic Peninsula.

The restaurant, located directly across from the Sequim Civic Center on North Sequim Avenue, celebrated its grand opening on Friday, April 10.

The Vibe

Inside, the space leans fully into classic steakhouse tradition. White tablecloths anchor each table, the lighting stays soft and intentional, and artwork lines the walls without overpowering the room.

It’s upscale—but not stiff. The kind of place that works just as well for date night as it does for marking something bigger. One early diner described it as “warm and polished without being pretentious,” capturing exactly what the restaurant is going for.

The Menu Sets The Tone

The menu follows that same philosophy: familiar steakhouse foundations, executed with care and just enough flair to feel special. You can keep things classic or lean into something a little more indulgent right from the start.

The shrimp cocktail delivers that clean, traditional bite, while the Dungeness crab and artichoke dip goes richer, creamy and layered with Pacific Northwest flavor. The tableside Caesar adds a bit of theater early on, assembled fresh with white anchovy, garlic croutons, and Parmigiano-Reggiano.

The Main Event

Then there’s the reason you’re here. The tomahawk ribeye, built for two, turns heads the second it hits the dining room. It’s big—but more importantly, it delivers where it counts: deeply flavored, properly cooked, and meant to be shared.

One Yelp customer called it “tender, flavorful, and exactly what a great steakhouse should deliver,” noting it held its own against steakhouses in larger cities. For those going solo, the filet mignon and New York strip keep things classic, while the braised short rib offers something slower and richer.

For something a little different, the individual beef Wellington—wrapped in puff pastry with mushroom duxelles and prosciutto—leans into old-school steakhouse elegance.

Don’t Skip The Sides

The supporting cast matters here, too, and it shows. Brussels sprouts come glazed with Dijon honey and studded with bacon, while shoestring potatoes arrive crisp with a side of truffle aioli.

Butter-braised mushrooms and creamy Yukon Gold potato purée round things out in the way you’d expect—simple, balanced, and done right. Seafood holds its own as well, with dishes like seared halibut layered with leek fondue and white wine cream, and crab cakes finished with a mustard beurre blanc.

The Vision Behind It

Behind it all is a concept built around two core ideas: high-quality steak and seafood, and a strong emphasis on wine. The restaurant’s vision, created by its namesake “Crazy” Harry alongside Executive Chef Mike Salutan, blends classic steakhouse tradition with a more modern, precise approach.

Everything feels intentional—from the menu to the pacing to the overall experience. It’s not trying to reinvent the steakhouse, just execute it at a high level.

At Crazy Harry’s Steakhouse, everything begins with two simple obsessions: a deep love for exceptional steak and seafood, and an unapologetic passion for remarkable wine,” reads the website.

The Details That Stick With You

That attention to detail shows up in smaller moments. A warm sourdough loaf that’s hard not to finish, a surprise palate cleanser between courses, and desserts that lean a little theatrical.

Bananas foster is flambéed tableside, while the molten chocolate cake does exactly what you want it to—rich, warm, and just indulgent enough to close things out right.

Why People Are Talking

For many locals, this feels new. Several early diners pointed to the idea that something like this hasn’t quite existed in Sequim before, with one calling it “a big-city dining experience in our small community.”

That’s really the takeaway. This is the kind of steakhouse people used to drive to Seattle for—now it’s here.
