Kyle Fineout, owner of Sunrise Meats, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, after being diagnosed with seizures, according to a GoFundMe organized by family members.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic loss of our beloved Kyle,” organizer Trent Fineout wrote in the fundraiser.

‘An Incredible Impact’

The family also called Fineout a “responsible, hardworking, phenomenal meat cutter who has left behind an incredible impact on our community.”

“Knowing that he was so cherished by everyone who crossed his path speaks volumes about his character and the kind of impact he had on the community around him,” the fundraiser states.

Friends echoed those sentiments online as news of his death spread through the community.

“Port Angeles has lost a responsible business owner and very caring friend,” Danny Price wrote in a Facebook tribute. “This one stings.”

“We want to give Kyle an honorable send-off he deserves, but this financial burden has been overwhelming,” the family wrote. “If you have the position to donate, any contribution no matter how small, will directly help our family navigate this difficult time. If you cannot donate, we kindly ask that you share this fundraiser with others. “
