Even the God of Thunder was no match for airport security.

Chris Hemsworth says a simple passport mistake left him and his family stranded at the airport after officials refused to let them board an international flight.

The actor, best known for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently recalled the embarrassing travel mishap during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.

Hemsworth said the problem began when he accidentally brought the wrong passport for one of his children.

“I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport,” Hemsworth said.

The Australian actor shares 13-year-old daughter India Rose and 11-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan with his wife, actress Elsa Pataky.

According to Hemsworth, he attempted to convince airport staff that the passport belonged to his daughter.

“They kind of look the same,” Hemsworth joked.

Pataky quickly disagreed.

“They don’t,” she said.

Hemsworth said he then pointed to the passport and told a security agent, “This is her.”

“That’s a boy,” the agent replied, according to Hemsworth.

“So, yeah, that didn’t work,” he said.

The mistake prevented the family from boarding the flight.

Hemsworth, 42, has become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars through roles in the Marvel franchise, where he portrayed Thor, as well as films including “Extraction,” “Rush,” “Snow White and the Huntsman,” “Men in Black: International,” and “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.”

The actor and Pataky married in 2010 and have largely kept their children out of the public spotlight, though all three have recently appeared in entertainment projects.

India Rose appeared alongside her father in 2022’s “Thor: Love and Thunder,” playing the daughter of the film’s villain.

Speaking previously about his daughter’s interest in acting, Hemsworth said he hopes she focuses on enjoying childhood before pursuing a career in Hollywood.
